Bushcraft Day

Oak class spent a day carrying out bushcraft activities linked to their Viking topic. They worked with Terry Davies to build a shelter, make their own Viking dough (which they toasted on the campfire), play team building activities and make the journey from Lindisfarne to Jorvik! They particularly enjoyed eating hot dogs cooked on the fire, toasting marshmallows and making ‘shmorios’! They also dressed as Vikings and were able to compare modern bushcraft equipment with Viking artifacts.
