We run a breakfast club every morning from 8am,
The School Day
Our school hours are as follows
Reception and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2) 8.40am-3.10pm
Total teaching time for Key Stage 1 is 33 hours hours per week
Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) 8.40am to 3.20pm
Total teaching time for Key Stage 2 is 33.5 hours per week
After School Club
After school club runs everyday between 3.15pm – 5pm.

Collective Worship
At Hurst Green we hold daily Collective Worship, this follows a half termly, 1 year cycle to cover our 6 Christian Values as well as the major Christian festivals including Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Pentecost.

At Hurst Green Church of England Primary School, we try to introduce our children to a wide range of different extra- curricular activities. There are different clubs and extra- curricular activities to suit a range of interests. The clubs run on a term to term basis and currently include gymnastics, art, gardening and wilderness.

Please note that some of our clubs are charged for, but costs are kept to a minimum to enable all children to participate.
We are always on the look-out for new and exciting clubs for our children. If you run a club, or know of one that would be great for our children, please let the school office know.
Healthy Schools
We want all children to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to live healthy and active lives. We have been awarded the internationally renowned Healthy School award, which recognises our school’s healthy practices.
